FAQs
American Pest Control
What pests and wildlife do you service?
Our services cover a broad spectrum of pests, including various insects and arthropods such as ants, roaches, spiders, silverfish, beetles, bed bugs, fleas, wasps, bees, earwigs, centipedes, and mosquitoes. We also handle rodents and small wildlife like rats, mice, squirrels, gophers, voles, and moles. Our expertise extends to wood-destroying organisms, including drywood and subterranean termites, as well as fungus issues. We address seasonal pests, pantry pests, and occasional invaders. For commercial and institutional spaces, we offer tailored solutions. However, we do not treat larger wildlife such as bats, raccoons, and possums, as these require specialized wildlife control services.Do you offer financing or payment plans?
For services that involve higher costs or larger projects, such as fumigation or structural work, we do provide financing options. We encourage you to inquire about the details of these options when discussing your pest control needs with us.Are inspections free?
We offer free termite inspections, but only for homes that are not currently in escrow. For general pest concerns, we can often provide quotes over the phone. The cost of other inspections may vary depending on the specific situation. We recommend contacting us directly for clarification on inspection fees for your particular case.Is pest control safe for my family, pets, and plants?
Our pest control methods prioritize safety. We utilize EPA-registered products and apply them in strict accordance with label guidelines. Our treatments are strategically placed in areas such as cracks, crevices, and foundations, minimizing exposure to non-target areas like flowering plants, water sources, and personal items. We may advise keeping people and pets away from treated areas until they are completely dry to ensure maximum safety.Do I need to be home or prepare before service?
The necessity of your presence during service depends on the type of treatment being performed. We will coordinate access to your property as needed. Regarding preparation, certain treatments, particularly for bed bugs or severe infestations, may require specific steps. In such cases, we will provide you with detailed preparation instructions in advance of the service. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods for your convenience. These include major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), ACH transfers, cash, and checks. We also offer the option to securely store your payment information with us, enabling quick and easy billing after each service. Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes, we maintain all necessary credentials. Our company is licensed through the California Structural Pest Control Board, and we carry comprehensive insurance and bonding to protect both our clients and our team members. What's your guarantee or warranty policy?
We stand behind our work with a 30-day warranty on all initial pest control services. If you experience a recurrence of the treated pest issue within this period, we will return to address the problem at no additional charge. How long does treatment take, and when will I see results?
The duration of our treatments typically ranges from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on factors such as property size and the severity of the pest issue. In most cases, you can expect to observe results within the first two weeks following treatment. However, it's important to note that more severe infestations may necessitate additional visits to achieve complete control.Do you require a contract or lock anyone in?
We do not utilize binding contracts. Instead, we operate with service agreements to ensure clarity in our arrangements. Clients are never locked into long-term commitments. We simply request a 30-day notice for cancellation of ongoing services.
